OpenAI taps veteran of Nextdoor, Square as new CFO, raising speculation about IPO

Artificial-intelligence developer OpenAI said Monday that Sarah Friar would become its next chief financial officer, as it prepares to work more closely with a growing number of large companies and deal with an increasingly fraught landscape for the technology.
